Z Roof Purlin and Z Wall Girt Structural Steel


Pre Engineered Buildings

Flexospan provides standard, even-profile Z roof purlins and Z wall girts, as well as custom profiles and punching patterns. We manufacture any component from 1/2" subgirts to 12" section up to 10 gauge. Z purlins and Z girts are also available with other depths and flange widths. Wind load (lbs/sq ft) x .75 x girt spacing (ft) x wind coefficient (typically 1.1) = Allowable load/linear foot of girt

20 psf x .75 x 5 Ft x 1.1 = 82.5 plf

Live (snow) Load
(load on purlin)
Snow load (lbs/sq ft) x purlin spacing (ft) = allowable load/linear foot of purlin 20 psf x 5 ft = 100 plf
