Flexospan wall and roof
panels are manufactured at Sandy Lake, Pennsylvania.
According to U.S. Green
Building Council® LEED 2009 for New
Construction and Major Renovations, the intent is
"To increase
demand for building materials and products that are
extracted and manufactured within the region, thereby
supporting the use of indigenous resources and reducing
the environmental impacts resulting from transportation."
(LEED 2009 for New Construction and Major Renovations,
Page 53).
Because of unique project
circumstances, it is the responsibility of your LEED
project team to determine if your project is eligible
for certification and whether Credit
5 for Regional Materials will be available for the
Flexospan product supplied to your particular project.
